Prosperity Dumpling

How does it sound to only have to spend $1 for dinner? Awesome? Yeah, thought so. Prosperity Dumpling is another one of those places like Vanessa’s Dumplings where you get a lot of bang for your buck (get it…ha ha. Sorry.). For $1, you get 4 dumplings of your choice (chives and pork, vegetables and pork, or just vegetables), either fried or boiled.

Prosperity Dumpling is a super small “restaurant.” Well, that’s probably a really poor description…it’s more like a store…shop? Basically, when you walk inside, you’re already in front of the counter where you order, and there’s only really standing room for a few people. There’s a small counter along one of the walls with a couple stools, but people normally just grab their food and go. Not only is the place small, but you can see the workers behind the counter making the dumplings in huge vats, so you know they’re going to be fresh.

IMG_3981I got an order of fried chives and pork dumplings, and I didn’t really have to wait at all for them to come out. Because of the small space, my friend and I took our dumplings to the park nearby. They were hot, juicy, and plump, and you really can’t beat the price. If you’re ever in the area, looking for a quick bite to eat, or if you’re on a tight budget, Prosperity Dumpling is worth a visit.

Also, you can snag yourself about 50 frozen dumplings for around $9. Now, that’s a lot of meals.
